Our unit on weather is off to a great start. The students seem to be learning the challenging vocabulary. During this unit we will learn about the different types of weather, meteorologists, four types of clouds, and the water cycle. We will also learn how to research the temperature and read a thermometer. There are many wonderful stories we will be reading during this unit along with non-fiction books to help us gather facts about weather. Our unit song is called "The Weather Dude". Your child may come home singing this very soon! We will become scientists as we work on 2 experiments during this unit. Below is a list of some of the vocabulary we will learn.

condensation     evaporation     precipitation     water cycle     atmosphere     anemometer     humid     thunderstorm     lightning     temperature     thermometer

Please contact me if you have any questions! I'm looking forward to a great unit!
